The island
Best known as the “Black Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea”
for its lavic rocks, Ustica is 36 miles North of Palermo.
The diving centre
Surrounded by the wonderful context of this island, which is now considered
as the unquestioned capital of scuba diving, the Orca diving center
will come with you in search of the most fascinating and interesting
dives, with a wide range of different offers for blue weeks, weekends,
and also daily trips leaving from Palermo.

From May to November, the Orca-Diving center scuba diving school is
operating in the island, ready to offer every day all Orca services
and quality to the customer.
The marine protected area
Since 1986, when the protected area was established, the already excellent
marine environment has remarkably developed, being protected by excessive
exploiting.
Diving in Ustica
During every dive, all along the island’s coast, it is common
to meet a number of animals nowadays rare in other coastal areas both
for species and for size.
Shoals of saddled sea breams, of barracudas, of white breams form
silvery walls in the blue water, while great brown groupers and wreck
fish let you get near them right a few meters under the surface.
